Two rappers and a member of their entourage have been implicated in a plot to murder another MC over a business dispute.
In April, Lil Wayne was traveling through Georgia when his tour bus was attacked by people wielding guns in a white Chevy Camaro. No one was injured. According to an indictment obtained by Atlanta’s Channel 2 Action News, prosecutors now claim that Jimmy Winfrey, 25 — better known as PeeWee Roscoe — was behind the wheel of the Camaro.
“After Atlanta Police discontinued their escort, [Winfrey] and fellow Blood Gang members entered Interstate 285 from Atlanta Road in Cobb County in pursuit of the buses occupied by [Lil Wayne’s] group,” the indictment alleges. “The white sports car pulled beside the buses, shots were then fired into the buses from the sports car with a .40 caliber handgun and a 9mm handgun.”
Winfrey was arrested on June 2, as the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported. The charges: aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, criminal damage, possession of a firearm by a felon, criminal gang activity, reckless conduct and discharging a weapon near the street. Winfrey was held without bond.
Mentioned in the indictment were two performers: Jeffery Lamar Williams, 22, better known as Young Thug, and Bryan Williams, a.k.a. Birdman. As Channel 2 explained, Lil Wayne and Birdman, who co-founded a record label, were embroiled in a legal dispute over the release of a Lil Wayne record; Young Thug took Birdman’s side, according to the indictment.
“The indictment alleges that Young Thug made a threat against Lil Wayne and tour bus shooting suspect Jimmy Winfrey carried out that threat,” Channel 2 reported.
All men mentioned in the indictment — including Lil Wayne — are allegedly members of the notorious Bloods gang.
Young Thug and Birdman were not charged relating to the tour bus attack. However, in a separate incident, Young Thug was arrested Wednesday in Georgia after allegedly threatening a mall security guard earlier this month.
“[Young Thug] was wanted on an outstanding warrant charging him with terroristic threats stemming from an incident that occurred with the jurisdiction of the Dunwoody police,” Jim Joyner, spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, said in a press release, as Channel 2 reported.
Young Thug “threatened to shoot [a security guard] in the face,” according to an arrest warrant.

Reality TV star Benzino was injured after being shot by his nephew on a Massachusetts highway Saturday while riding in a funeral procession for a family member, according authorities and Benzino’s hip-hop magazine.

Jeezy was arrested in Atlanta late last week for battery, false imprisonment and making terrorist threats in an incident involving his son.
Jeezy, née Jay Wayne Jenkins, turned himself in to police Friday (Jan. 3) after a warrant was issued for the impending charges stemming from Sept. 2012, when he reportedly attacked his son in a bathroom. The scuffle allegedly included Jeezy throwing his son up against a shower door, punching him in the face, then dragging him into a bedroom to punch him more.
According to law enforcement documents, the 36-year-old also threatened to kill his son, saying, “I will put a bullet in your head right now,” and, “If I could get away with it, I would kill you.”
The minor’s name has not been publicized, but he is likely Jadarius “Lil Jeezy” Jenkins, Jeezy’s 17-year-old son, who the rapper threw a lavish Sweet 16 bash for just two months before their alleged fight.
Meawhile, Jeezy was released from custody after posting $45,000 bond and has neither confirmed nor denied the altercation. He does however believe things will be cleared up, so says his lawyer. “We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately,” the attorney said. “At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family’s privacy.”

Rapper 2 Chainz was one of 11 people arrested after refusing to get off a tour bus for almost nine hours following a traffic stop in Oklahoma City early Thursday morning, police said.
2 Chainz, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was arrested Thursday morning along with 10 other people on a charge of obstructing a police officer, Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said. The 35-year-old rapper performed with Lil Wayne and T.I. in Oklahoma City on Wednesday night.
Police stopped the tour bus around midnight near Interstate 40 because of an illegal taillight and noticed drug use, though Wardlow would not go into specifics.
The driver was arrested, “but as he got off the bus, the interior door shut and locked and obviously our officers could not get in there,” she said.
The remaining people on the bus refused to leave the vehicle, so officers towed it to a nearby police training facility about four miles away, Wardlow said.
Investigators obtained a warrant and all 11 people came off the bus around 9 a.m., Wardlow said. They were arrested on the obstruction charge and booked into Oklahoma County Jail on Thursday afternoon.
Wardlow also said investigators found narcotics on the bus, but don’t know to whom those belonged. She said more charges could be filed later.
The Atlanta-based rapper was a member of the rap duo Playaz Circle before going solo. His 2012 debut album, Based on a T.R.U. Story, topped the Billboard charts. His new album, B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time, is set to be released next month.
Earlier this year, 2 Chainz was acquitted of marijuana charges he faced after a traffic stop on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Beef sparked when 50 Cent brought Meek Mill onstage in Atlanta, and former G-Unit rapper Trav tried to join the party.
Meek Mill and 50 Cent have had their differences in the past, mainly involving the beef between Fif, and Meek’s bawse, Rick Ross. However, when 50 called Meek Mill to the stage at a Mixshow Live Event in Atlanta Saturday night, Meek was actually the one breaking up the beef.
As Mill walked onstage with his entourage, Fif spotted a familiar face amongst the crew. Former G-Unit rapper Trav (who has beef with 50) was attempting to take the stage by sneaking in with Meek’s posse.
Curtis spotted him right away, and made it clear he was not welcome. When things got pushy between the former allies, Meek stepped in to break things up.
Not much else is clear from the footage, but it appears that the show continued on after Trav left the stage.

Allen Iverson has a date this week with the judge who earlier this year called him a horrible parent … and seeing as his ex claims he owes $40,000 in child support … this new hearing will probably go as poorly for Iverson as the last one.
As TMZ first reported, when Iverson’s divorce was finalized back in February, the judge in the case tore Iverson’s parenting skills a new one … saying, “He does not know how to manage the children” and he “has been a hindrance to their spiritual and emotional growth and development.”
Now TMZ has learned Iverson’s ex, Tawanna, has filed docs with the court saying that Iverson has failed to honor the child support agreement that was handed down back in January. The order stated that Iverson was to pay $8,000/month in support for their 5 kids … but Tawanna claims Iverson has missed every payment he was supposed to make.
The two are set to be in court this week, where Tawanna wants the judge to order Iverson to fork over the $40,000 he owes in support and even suggest the judge lock Iverson up for his actions.
Should be a fun day in court.

According to various reports, the man who had a part in the death of legendary rapper The Notorious B.I.G. has escaped from an Atlanta prison. Clayton Armstrong Hill is currently on the run from law enforcement.
There are documents signed by the United States Magistrate, Judge Russell G. Vineyard, giving a vague description of how Hill escaped. Apparently, Clayton Armstrong Hill just walked off the prison grounds without being detected. Nobody noticed he was gone until it was time to do a bed check. Deputy U.S. Marshall Clay M. Cleveland says, “I was notified by officials … that inmate Clayton Armstrong Hill walked off the grounds. A bed count was conducted to verify Hill’s status and at approximately 6:40 p.m. Hill was identified as missing.”
What kind of prison was Hill in that made it so easy to just walk off, you ask? Clayton Armstrong Hill was placed in a medium security prison after he plead guilty to upwards of 100 counts of fraudulent federal income tax returns in the mid-2000s. In his book “Diary of An Ex-Terrorist” Hill confessed that he was an accessory after the fact in the Biggie murder. In the book, Hill implicates the Nation of Islam as being a part of the murder and subsequent cover up. He became involved when he helped a man who claimed to be the person who shoot the fatal bullets into Biggie’s truck that fateful night in 1997.

Authorities in Georgia say Chris Kelly, a member of the 90s rap duo Kriss Kross, has died in Atlanta.
Investigator Betty Honey of the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office said the 34-year-old Kelley was pronounced dead around 5 p.m. Wednesday at the south campus of the Atlanta Medical Center.
Honey said authorities are unsure of Kelly’s cause of death and that an autopsy has yet to be performed.
Kelly, known as “Mac Daddy” performed alongside Chris Smith, known as “Daddy Mac,” in the early and mid-90s. The duo might be best remembered for the song “Jump” from their 1992 debut album, “Totally Krossed Out.”

According to a police report, the night before Mac Daddy died he had taken a combination of heroin and cocaine. Kelly’s mother, Donna Kelly Pratt told the police that when her son did drugs, she would usually bring him home to recoup, which is what she did the night prior to his death. The backwards pants wearing rapper was feeling “nauseous” all day until he’d passed out. Once medics got on the scene, they made an attempt to revive him, but it didn’t work. They took Kelly to the hospital where they pronounced him dead. According to his mother and uncle, Chris Kelly had been battling his demons with drugs for some time now.
So, sad. This guy is one half of a trend that had everyone jumping! It’s too bad that there is a possibility that drugs was his downfall. After celebrating the 20th anniversary of So So Def, it was rumored that JD had something was in the works. I know that would have been a GREAT comeback.

From humble beginnings as a child in Atlanta Georgia, to starring at Georgia Tech & making it to the NBA, Javaris Crittenton seemed destined to make it big. Things have changed for the former Georgia State “Mr Basketball” and member of “Future Business Leaders of America”
Crittenton was indicted on murder charges along with his cousin in a case officials call a gang-related shooting that took place Atlanta in 2011.
No trial date has been set.
Crittenton, 25, and Douglas Gamble heard of 12-count indictment in Atlanta’s Fulton County District Court. Officers allege Crittenton fired a gun that killed a mother of two, Julian Jones, who was walking in a group of people. Officials suspect the incident was retaliatory, citing Crittenton as the victim of a robbery during which he had $50,000 of jewelry stolen.
Crittenton’s last stint in the NBA was with the Charlotte Bobcats. He was drafted in the first round of the 2007 draft by the Los Angeles Lakers and played for the Memphis Grizzlies and Washington Wizards.
He is well known for a Christmas Eve 2009 incident in which he and teammate Gilbert Arenas drew guns on each other in the Wizards’ locker room during an argument over gambling debts

An arrest warrant has been issued for rapper Gucci Mane after a soldier claims he tried to get a picture with Mane, but instead was hit over the head with a bottle.
The soldier (only identified as James) told WSBTV in Atlanta that he saw Mane at a club on March 25. James says he went over to the VIP area where Mane was hanging out and asked the security guard if he could get a photo with Mane.
James claims he was talking to the security guard and explaining that he was in the military when Mane hit him in the head with a bottle. James says hims head wound required 10 stitches.
James says he is in the Army and was stationed in Afghanistan until last October.
Lt. Jeff Cantin of the Atlanta Police Department told the station, “We do have an active warrant for Mr. Davis for aggravated assault. So I’m sure after he sees this, I’m sure he’ll want to reach out and contact us.”
